Desktop Version 2024.08.1 Released
We are happy to announce the release of WhaleDown Desktop version 2024.08.1. This is an important bug fix release.
First, we fixed a bug related to downloading live video streams. You can now save a longer live stream without being interrupted unexpectedly.
Second, we discovered a major change in the Vimeo platform, which changed the technology for video transmission.
Some users extract playlist.json from network packets but are unable to download it.
Our development team solved this problem by smartly controlling the browser. You can download all videos hosted on Vimeo via Google Chrome.
Due to technical limitations, you still can't download Vimeo videos through the built-in WhaleDown Browser.
Also for technical reasons, we can only download some Vimeo videos on the Android platform.
